Full Bloom

We are in full bloom,  Sophie has done a superb job, the garden looks magnificent.  A gentle reminder that the Heritage Roses are at their best now.  My favorite thing in the shop sold yesterday, the toad stool table and seats.  It’s gone to a fairy Dell created by a Peninsula Granny of course!!
The red red rose in the photo below is called Dublin Bay, climber or bush, you gotta have one. On the Pop Up Shop front I have in some v nice loose dresses and tops price from $55.00 cool and beachy.
Look forward to seeing you soon.   Jill

The Purfumed Garden and Gift Shop

How happy can a woman be? I’m up to my elbows in roses. Two days ago it
was very hot and windy, today it’s very very wet and cold, all so typically
Melbourne Spring. Sophie Adamson, David Austin rose specialist and my
business partner has worked her magic again this year as you can see from
the photos, you’ll be hard pressed to find healthier looking roses anywhere.
I’m waiting for a wire bakers stand to arrive from Bowral. I urgently need
it for our gardening book display, hopefully tomorrow…I’ll post a photo as
soon as I have it looking good. Our front veranda is a sodden mass of rain
coats, dripping hats and muddy boots, roll on sunny days. Cheers Jill.

The Gift Shop at the Perfumed Garden, Ready to Bloom.

Finally today, we have the perfect spring day and you can feel the
garden humming around you.
The shop is ready to go and the roses are 2 minutes away from bursting into
full and glorious bloom.
We have all been working hard to make this selling season a cracker and I am
very proud of our collective effort. Sophie has a band of fabulous
volunteers, Val, Liz, Janet and Geoff who weed, spray, rake, trim and water.
Meanwhile Billy and I along with assorted grand children and a very helpful
son have been setting up my “Pop Up Shop”
“The Gift Shop at the Perfumed Garden”… and I have to say it’s looking
pretty fantastic. A little rustic, A little Scandinavian, maybe even a
little Japanese, and a little Jill Swann. What a combination!!!
Today’s photos just shot by my Billy say it all. The garden is probably a
week away from looking MAGNICIANT .
So whip down to Mt Martha and come and see us… were ready and waiting.
Regards Jill.
